So the cure is to put a new QB in? Really, because the next QB is probably a freshman and playing JV ball right now. This team is hard to watch but Lichti at this point is not the problem. Dropped balls are and I agree with you others that said #24 should be the full time RB. Get that boy on the field and leave him there.

Lets steer this train wreck back on the rails.

Going to be tough to get a win this week at Ashland after losing their last 2 (to the 2 best teams in the conference, IMO).

Anyone heard about Infield? A shoulder injury for sure but don't know how severe. Guessing he's out this week and maybe longer. He's our long snapper too. Just like any injury on a small team...hits you hard in several areas.

Keep working hard Riders!

Breaking news out of Creston and Apple Creek: These 2 communities have figured out how to copy and paste from Facebook. I heard Channel 3 news is on their way to visit these 2 communities for this groundbreaking news! OQB will be there handing out Wendy's coupons. Free frostys for all who show up.

Actually I'm a supply chain manager for a tier 1 supplier to the automotive industry...if you really want to know what my job title is.

If it makes you feel better to think I work at Wendy's then more power to ya!

"Now that's better!"

For the ones calling for the backup QB to start since he is the QB of the future...says who? Isn't there another kid playing QB at the freshman level? Just throwing that out there.
Whether the next qb is the sophomore or the freshman, this season is more than 50% complete, better to prepare for the future now than later!

Unless I'm mistaken and #10 has to continue playing to impress the D1 scouts that are recruiting him.

I guess your eyes are looking elsewhere when he's constantly overthrowing all his receivers. Sure there are drops every game but he always overthrows or Under throws his target. He still has no clue how to look off a defender . He telegraphs every pass, he can't even throw a screen pass without overthrowing or throwing behind the receiver. His accuracy is absolutely horrible, and yes the few times he puts the ball on target it's usually dropped. Number 4 can't catch a cold most of the time, and number 22 is always afraid of being hit.

Regardless of who is next, it isn't Lichti's, therefore, move on!

You're not considered a "basher", so perhaps you should go to the booster club meeting and speak with the coach regarding #24.

LOL, if he's being recruited by D1 it has to be for punting.

RedRider1;1282909 wrote:At the time of our 1 good drive, wasn't the score 35-0? Maybe the coach was rotating 24 & 21 and it just happened to be #21's turn the next drive?

#24 has proven on the field that he's the best rb on the team, he should have started in place of #40 with #21 blocking!

We're splitting hairs, none of these personnel changes would magically turn us into a 5-1 team. We're down and the rest of the conference is up.

Thats true, it may not change to 5-1. You and others have said before that the coach/coaches will field their best athletes, so isn't better to be 1-5 playing your best athletes, whether they be freshman or senior?

I'm all for #1 & #24 seeing more time, but it would be at the expense of two senior captains. Kids who have been part of the programs for 4 years and show up for off season (voluntary) workouts and do whatever is asked of them.

So, you're a younger but better football player at your position, and you get punished for being younger? If you're in shape, do the "off seaon" workouts matter? Most will be there for 4 years max anyway. If you transfer in as a sophomore, you're punished for it? Those seniors can still be captains.

Puts the coaches in a tough spot. And yes, politics do exist...welcome to every town in America. Kids who do more than the minimum, kids who aren't running their mouth on twitter, kids who put in the work in the weight room...those kids get the benefit of the doubt...like it or not.

"Politics", you've said before that politics do not exist in Orrville sports. However, if you aren't going to play them, remove them off the team as a disciplinary measure, how tough is that? And really, how many are in the weight room?

Just another reminder...booster club meeting is Monday night at the school. Opportunity to ask all your pressing questions.

Noone's going to attend those meetings but the members...its not out of fear nor anonimity. This is a blogsite man, that's all, and we know the coach isn't going to change his gameplan because of our comments. If he and all those coaches can't see the difference, perhaps a new staff is in order.
Therefore, no additional reminders are required.
See above!

Now it's "just a blogsite?" LOL. My how times have changed.

It's actually a message board, but that's not the point of my comment.

Remember when posters jobs were being threatened, threads shut down and suspensions handed out for critiquing the philosophies of a former head coach for an Orrville sports team? Was it JUST a blogsite back then too?

Double standards sure are fun!

Very frustrating the way this season has played out...I thought we may struggle, but I didn't think it would get this bad.
I am not going to question the coach's decision making.....YET....but I think it is definately time to give every offensive snap to Bryce and Martvious needs to be on the field ALL the time.

GET OUT OF THE SPREAD....PLEASE!!! We look absolutely clueless on offense. We just do not have the right mix to run that offense...simple.

These last couple of weeks will test the kids mental toughness..keep your heads up and keep working hard.

Blogsite, message board,...whatever!

That poster's or posters job/s was threatened, the threads shut down and the suspensions handed out were for libelous comments posted by said individual/s about alleged activities of the former coach that had nothing to do with his basketball coaching philosophy. If you're going to "remember", remember correctly and stop trying to get people to lean your way with lies and bull****!

You and others critiqued him after every game, win or lose, but you were never "bashing" were you?
I'm pretty sure you were at every booster club meeting, did you question/critique him about his philosophy then?
Never once did you announce nor remind anyone of the booster club meetings then!
He may not have won any playoff games, however, he upheld your RTR and never posted a losing season in a tougher division every year that he coached!

You always made the statement about fan apathy, bring your tail out of the pressbox and experience it now!

On a side note who picks the referees. The referee who through that ridiculous pass interference flag last game on # 4 lives and works in Wooster. As well as attended Wooster high. I have worked with this guy in the past, and he told me to my face he could not stand Orrville. I certainly hope Ted Amstutz never works an Orrville game again.
