A few things here...

#1) the grass is RARELY greener on the other side.
#2) Eddie is fine, just had to shore up some things. Greater detail could be given but it ain't mine to give, so the first part of this point will do.
#3) Aaron is not 100% a go. The hoops these kids are made to jump through almost make it impossible, but some level of management must exist (I guess).
#4) There is a meeting with the principal on Tuesday for the community and I do want to attend. Positive input is a must and working towards a common goal will only ensure that the program is put in good hands.

If and when I find out more, I'll be sure to post.

Why I oughtta!!! I do hope to get to the meeting, if nothing more than a concerned citizen with knowledge of seeing things handled wrong before.

I did! And I must say, the end result was positive. The principal pledged to do something a parent suggested, in order that the students in studyhall might be accommodated, and to which the wrestlers would still have their wrestling room.

The fact that I was most impressed with was the shear numbers, knowledge of and motivation/willingness to help by the Watkins parents. That group is TOP NOTCH. I will never complain about the help my brother and I receive. But what I saw in terms of organization and attitude last night was very impressive. I wonder if that is normal for area schools?

Anywho, a new head coach was named, along with assistants. A youth coach was either introduced or reintroduced. Parents met with the coaching staff in order to continue and revamp fundraising ideas.

All in all, success from what I can tell.

ps: can't remember the coach's name but he is in the building. Hammonds is helping.

And, the was rather neat, when the new coach mentioned the season, he brought up their own tournament. When he mentioned that Reynoldsburg would be back, he made it a point to note that their coach was a Watkins grad (coach ball). I liked it.

Its sounds like the meeting turned out well. I live in Pataskala but kids go to Newark....but I follow Watkins wrestling/sports in the paper.....they used to hold a "Warrior Camp" shortly after the season and always had a nice turn out....
