Yes...he won lots of ball games, he should be considered a good x's and o's guy for that. But you can't turn a blind eye to his mistakes either. There are VERY few people left outside of OSU fans who haven't figured out that he is a liar and has no problem with corruption and rule breaking going on in his programs. Maybe in a few years when the sting of the scandal has worn off you will be able to see him for who he really is/was. Until then, have fun continuing to worship your false god.

Do you really think a major college coach, with all the things he has to oversee, is going to be able to know what every single player is up to? If you do, you're not being honest. Even with a good staff and compliance department, it's still very hard to check up on every single player.

If someone is intent on getting away with receiving extra benefits, I'm sure it's not too difficult to do. We've heard plenty of stories after the fact about players who ended up taking things they admitted to years later.

What of course isn't forgivable (in the keep your job sense) was lying about it. But not knowing? That's very believable.
