Tribe has stolen 4 bases today, only to have veteran hitters strike out.

Sorry then...good news is overall the Indians have done well and if they can turn it around and the playoff karma of Orlando holds true...you'll be happy with the Indians more than you are not.

You are right , in that they have played better than was expected. But that is what makes this stretch of bad ball extra painful.

I also hope you're correct about playoff karma. They will have to really turn it around sometime really soon.

I didn't think it would last but I definitely didn't expect the tribe to collapse this quickly and bad. They are playing as the worst team in baseball smh.

Same. Its not the fact that it went downhill but how fast it happened. When it rains it pours I guess.

@MLBastian: Indians drop this one 9-1 to Yanks. Have lost 14 of 18. Scored 2 runs or fewer in 12 of 18. Have been outscored 113-52 (-61) in same span.

Had to figure their pitching and hitting would fall back to Earth. Still a lot of season left though

"Falling back to Earth" would have been a welcome sight compared to this freefall straight to Hell.

lol...this a little more than falling back to earth. This is the worst team I have ever witnessed on a professional level. I mean, yeah they are playing better teams now, but they can't hit, field, or pitch...it is an embarrassment.

@MLBastian: Asked Acta if he was running out of ideas to fix offense: "I've got a few more up my sleeve," he said. "Watch tomorrow."

Right now...I would take Russell Branyon and Aaron Boone over our current players

That's what happens when you are so hot to start. Look at the team pitching and hitting stats, they are still middle of the pack, better than most thought.

their stats are so deceptive though....It reminds of a few years back(not sure what year) when they averaged a good bit of runs per game but it was bullshit. In a three game series, they would score 18 runs but 14 of them would be in one game. For some reason, when a team does that, it is much more frustrating for me to watch.

Yeah I agree. When you don't have a couple consisent veteran bats that's what happens. I think that was the year after they went to the ALCS.

Which is quite an improvement when compared to the last 9 games where the batting average was 071.

4 for 56 is .071.

6 for 68 is .088

Where's Mario Mendoza's grandkids at? Suit em up.

This team has been terrible. They should send every one down that has options left and call up as many as they can from Columbus to send a message that this shit won't be tolerated. I think we should move brantley down to 7 again and put Grady back in the lead off. Grady seems to hit better there and Brantley gives us some help in the back if the lineup
