I swear I already posted this but couldn't find it today so...

Just a heads-up, the Westerville Central Spring Open is Sunday, March 13th! Better than 300 wrestlers are expected for what should be the biggest and best open tournament in Columbus this spring. However, with five mats running and a split start time, you can be sure we will start on time and run quickly!

The Westerville Central Spring Open is truly for all wrestlers- there are youth, middle school, and high school divisions, and even a Master Division for wrestlers over the age of 19. There is also a separate division for "Rookie" (1st and 2nd year) wrestlers to compete in. Top Three Place Finishers in the "Open" Youth Division will be awarded deluxe trophies. This tournament is a great "tune-up" for OAC and Ourway State Tournaments the next two weekends!

There will be a split start time to make sure that this tournament runs as quickly as possible for everyone involved. See entry form for more details on weigh-in and start times. You may download an entry form at:

Sorry we're going to miss this Zam, but I need Jake to help me coach the younger one at State this weekend.
I know he wanted to do this along with many other tourneys this spring.

Zam... if Hipps and Higgins both get there... make sure they get in the same bracket... Please.....
Is Zach going to wrestle or ref??? Or both??? Maybe he should be in that open bracket, too.

hizzmuther, I don't set up the brackets. We have a consultant that actually runs the tournament, but I, too, would like to see that match! LOL Zach will be working a table with me. The Central wrestlers aren't able to wrestle as they are needed as volunteers to work tables and serve as bout sheet runners. It's our primary fundraiser for the year. I hope you will be there, though. If you are, please look for me at a table and come say hello! I've missed seeing you and would love to congratulate you in person. :)

That was also the best I have felt on the mat in a while (in competition that is).
