Doesn't surprise me.

I thought the bird flying in front of the ball added another element, and then he also made that throw as his momentum was taking him the opposite direction (he was falling).

They said during the Reds game last night that the umpire at 2nd said it was one of the best plays he has ever seen during his time as an umpire.

Pujols is out for 4-6 weeks. Will be interesting to see how the Cards compete in their division without him.

Hopefully badly. Very, very, very badly. Let them join the Cubs and Astros in the dregs.

He has enough problems explaining his diminishing ability to perform (1-7, 4.47 ERA) to worry about other stuff right now. But if his son happens to have a Wilson Betemit baseball card, it has been destroyed. And the kid has been beat for having it to begin with.

I'd guess carpenter cried when he heard the news.

Can't make this stuff up: 80-year-old McKeon's first move is to bench Hanley for not hustling yesterday and being late to ballpark today.

Yeah it won't be long. But my guess is that it will be because he has died on the field.

There was a controversial call at home(whether or not a ball was fair or not, I think)....

Sox player was called out and Ozzie came out firing on all cylinders. Got the heave ho and and then proceeded to place kick Soto's mask. The look on Soto's face was amazing.
