The reasoning behind the culling of the initial "thread on eligibility" was that it turned into a pure cluster of insults, personal attacks and annoying post reports. Mr. Nelson felt his grievances apparently gave him full right to repeatedly bash a school district, state officials, etc. This led to people, some affiliated with said school, to start bashing him. Things got out of control and, considering that virtually everything anyone was saying was allegations against the other side, the thread was ended.
Apparently, he still is determined to paint said school district in a bad light. I PERSONALLY didn't agree with the one post that featured a link to an actual news story getting deleted, but can understand the reasoning, as I doubt the people who regularly mod this board wanted to deal with another three-week e-War.
The only real connection that this thread has with any of this is that its title is a spoof of the original thread about the eligibility. The impression I got was that it was created as a way to joke around and decompress after that thread and all of the harsh words there. I'd guess most of the "it's making fun of our kids" vibe on this thread comes from you and Mr. Nelson, as apparently it's cool to take open season on other schools and the OHSAA...but a crime against humanity for any real or perceived slight against you to happen.
Which is what I find most annoying about the whole thing -- the sense of entitlement I get from it all where I get the vibe you think it's okay for you guys to say anything, but threaten to take your ball and go home if anything doesn't go according to your wishes.
