Haven't started a game thread in awhile...maybe this will help Coco lol

Kind of a big series as far as overall seeding goes for the Reds. Right now the Reds hold the "2nd seed," only a half game ahead of the Padres and Giants. They would open up the playoffs with the Braves and have home field in that series.

I think the Reds will get 2/3.

Giants and Dads are playing right now, so that half game lead will be gone no matter what after tonight.

Bloomquist is 0-3 w/ 3 Strikeouts ..... Would much rather have Bruce in there instead no matter how much he struggles Vs. LHP. Will Dusty sit Bruce in the playoffs vs. LHP?

Astros making plays...Reds aren't.


Chapman is throwing the pitches...but you can't throw fastballs down the middle at any speed in the majors......I'd like to go back to that inning with an 0-1 count to Kepp and try again...Kepp is one of the hardest to whiff guys in the league...anyone on the reds know that.....no way does he see 2 straight fastballs for strikes

Alonso took one right to the wall, Right Fielders back was on the wall w/ 2 on that could have given the Reds the lead

As I recall he also has a blown save, allowing two inherited runners to score.

Reds looking straight up AWFUL this month. Cardinals not looking much better but have beat SD 2 straight and have the pirates and cubs the rest of the month. Time to step it up.
