Caldwell comes off a dominating performance against Buckeye Trail while Barnesville enters this week after deafeating Meadowbrook. Should be a good early test for Caldwell. These next two weeks will tell a lot about this team, as they travel to Barnesville and then play at Monroe Central.

Key to the game will be how well Caldwell's line plays. Barnesville always seems to have big, physical players, so I don't think Caldwell will have as much success running the ball as they've had the past two weeks. Sayre needs to have a good game at QB, and hopefully he the receiver's can help put some points on the board and open up some lanes for the RB's. Caldwell must force turnovers too. I believe Barnesville had a few turnovers against Meadowbrook. Caldwell will need to do the same and capitalize on them when they do.

Thoughts? Predictions?

I don't know why but Barnesville always has a tough time with Caldwell. Even Barnesville's excellent '06 team could only manage to beat Caldwell 6-0.

I know it's early in the season, but this game is huge for both teams IMO. Both should win a good amount of games, so there are a good bit of playoff points available. Should also be a gauge of just how good each team is. I don't think either has played very good competition yet. Caldwell's played Newcomerstown and Buckeye Trail while I believe Barnesville has played John Glenn and Meadowbrook. These teams always seem to have pretty good games, regardless of records. A win for Caldwell would be big.

Barnesville has by far played the better teams.... I love my Warriors but they can't play with either JG or the Brook this year... same goes with Ntown ... i'll stand by B'ville by 14

I'm leaning towards the Rocks as well.

I saw Bville v Meadowbrook last week and the Rocks are tough man. They have a linebacker by the name of Jesse Stoudt who is just an out and out maniac. He's not huge, but hits people with everything he's got. And, he scared some of the Colts I believe. In fact, they have a couple of kids that are just out to hit people as hard as they can. I think it'll be a good game...always is...but I think the Rocks have the edge in this one maybe by a score or two.

Congratulations Caldwell on a huge win. You just seem to have Barnesville's number. Good luck next week.

This was probably one of the best games i've seen in a while. The safety and defensive TD really got the Skins going. Morris had a huge game. Had over 100 yards receiving with 2 TD's including the game winner with 8 seconds left, and an interception on a screen play. I don't know why, but Caldwell/Barnesville games are always good ones, no matter how good each team is. Big win for Caldwell, and could be big for playoff points, just like last year. I'm pretty sure Barnesville hates Caldwell now.
