I was interested to see if Gilbert was going to take the high road on this, or the low road. Clearly this indicates low road, and I can't wait to see what more comes out.

He lost about a $100 million dollars tonight so I would not be surprised to see him start a Lebron smear campaign, and I can only imagine some of the juicy stories there are to tell.

And a bit bold...how exactly do the Cavs win anything within the next 3 years?

haha. Dan might have let his emotions get the best of him. I LOVE this move by Gilbert though, NOBODY has stood up to Lebron since hes been in the league.

Wait, didn't the Cavs just fire their GM and Head Coach? Where was the loyalty there? Shouldn't they have been allowed to continue putting the pieces in place so that the "family" could win a title? Strange no one was outraged or ranted on and on about loyalty when those guys hit the unemployment line.

The Cavs are FUCKED. Nobody wanted to go there with LeBron, who would want to play there now?

Cavs won't even make the playoffs this year.

Same can be said for Durant but he seems to love OKC. I see trading expiring and the next few drafts as the rebuild. Free agency might not be the road the organization takes.

Exactly. Cavs have an owner in place that will do what it takes to improve the team. I have ALOT of respect for Dan Gilbert right now.

Please let Gilbert have evidence of Tiger Woods esque actions (it wouldn't be as bad as Tiger since Lebron isn't married but it would still be tarnishing and hilarious).

I'm not trying to hate on you all or anything, but this team is going to be BAD this year.. like, really BAD.

They have no star, no center, no go-to-guy..

Gilbert has a right to be upset. He did everything he could to make Lebron happy. He created jobs and gave them to his buddies. He built a state of the art practice facility right down the street from his house. He put some of Brons friends and former teammates on the summer league team so NBA teams could give them a look when they had NO right being there. Lebron didnt have the decency to give him a call and let him know what he was going to do? Gimme a break.

Cavs can still make some moves. This roster doesnt have to remain the same. I'm sure they will try to improve before next year. After reading that statement from Dan Gilbert, seems like the man is on a mission.

Gilberts thing about the title though is completely embarrassing, because there is zero chance the Cavs win a title before the Heat. Even the Sportscenter guys were laughing as they read that part.

$40 million extra dollars wasn't enough to get a home town kid to stay home or a free agent to come here. I think Gilbert (while I admire his passion) is drastically underestimating how difficult it will be to actually win a title here.

I am sure when Lebron reads the part about the title he is going to tremble in fear that his big 3 of Lebron/Wade/Bosh will have to contend with the Cavs big 3 of Antwan/Mo/Andy.

What an awesome statement by Gilbert. I will be anxious to read all of the fall out from this tomorrow. That's a bomb of a statement! Can you tell that I love it? As for ETB...oh wait.

Did Garnett and Allen constantly talk about how much the area means to them and constantly talk about loyalty and staying true to your home? Did their teams put their friends on the summer squads so they could get seen by NBA guys? Did their teams build practice facilities near their houses?

The Cavs have been as least as good to Lebron as he was to them.

Plus Garnett and Allen were traded. Surprised no one else mentioned that yet.

I wonder if Lebron will ever get jealous of the fact that even if they win 5 titles in Miami (who knows how many) Wade will always have 1 more than him.

CLEVELAND -- Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert says LeBron James "quit" during the playoffs and should be accountable for his actions.

Gilbert, who posted a letter to Cavs fans on the team's website shortly after James announced he plans to sign with Miami, tells The Associated Press late Thursday night that he feels "personally betrayed" by James and that it's "accountability time."

In a phone interview with the AP, Gilbert says "people have covered up for [James] for way too long. Tonight we saw who he really is."

Gilbert says James quit on the Cavs during their second-round series against the Boston Celtics, who rallied from a 2-1 deficit to eliminate Cleveland.
