Here we sit ....On a mid-summers night....and The Season is a mere 5 months away. Or is it? Has it already started for some? Who is doing what? Camps? Lifting? Open Mats? Who is going to be the TOP DOG in the WCAL this year? In the area?? In the State???
Everyone knows that its time for Beast to start the talks.....even if it does just result in sand being thrown in my face.

Northwestern wins the WCAL this upcoming season. That is my pick this and every year. Because they always find a way to reload.

Smithville will be a little more experienced, might start making some noise in upper weights. Several of the kids did go to the Kent State camp, maybe wasn't the best camp to be at,but the kids did get to wrestle about 14 matches each. Some very tough kids were there.

Northwestern definately looks like the team to beat. Norwayne has a nice core as well with a good 8th grade class.
Havent been on football...need to look into it and see what we got.

If the Huskies are going to make a long awaited return to glory, this year is probably it. Schaefer, Topp, Hershey & Fortune should shine. A little help or a breakout season from some others is needed. Don't know if it's true, but i hear the Huskies have some people coming out of Jr High who may be able to contribute immediately.
That being said, Waynedale is still the team to beat until somebody unseats them. NWN, Norwayne & Smithville will be the rest of the top half of the league. Chippewa takes a step back (loss of Schafrath). Hillsdale will be better. Dalton will be last, but at least they have a program, which is more than can be said for Rittman.

When Northwestern wins the WCAL next spring please remember I called it here first on a warm early summer's eve.
Actually I only pick them because I am a Huskie alum and always pick them go win, but this is going to be my year. I can feel it.
