So I just found out today that if I had picked Duke to win in my office pool I would have won the whole damn thing.

In an interesting turn of events, nobody picked them to go all the way, so it came down to points. I had them in the finals losing to Syracuse. All I had to do was go with the Blue Devils and I'd be $500 richer.

Same thing happened to me when Kansas beat Memphis.

I think I'm now officially the "close but no cigar" girl. :@

The Kansas vs. Memphis game had to hurt even more considering Memphis was up 9 with about 2:00 to go. They just struggled making their free throws.

Had something similar happen to me in a bracket I filled out in high school, not anything near $500, but still some extra spending cash is always fun to come by.

I missed out on $800 a couple years ago. It came down to the tiebreaker, and I was pissed!!
