Studies have shown that the suicide rates of transgenders doesn’t change if they are in an “accepting” home or not. It doesn’t even change after they have the surgery.

The liberal excuse for the insanely high suicide rate is completely illogical “well if they weren’t bullied”. Jews under Nazi Germany is the epitome of “oppressed” and “bullied” and their suicide rates were lower than transgender people. 

There is a reason that until like 5 minutes ago it was considered by the American psychiatric association and their DSM as a mental disorder in the same “body dismorphia” categories as anorexia is. Their brain is “lying” to them about the reality of their body.

Are you just rolling the same anti homosexual playbook right back? Same arguments were made in the 80s and 90s.

Gay is not "normal":  2% out of 100% is not "normal".  I think you meant to say that gay is accepted today, or more readily accepted by society.  And this is as it should be, we are taught by God to love others, despite our differences. 

Accepted yes is my point. They are now permitted to marry and have a lot of the same rights and privileges and social acceptance as heterosexuals.

Teachers just like society come from all sorts of backgrounds. There are just as many conservative teachers as there are liberal ones. Not one teacher alive wants to touch this subject or encourage a student to join a group that will be ostracized and bullied their entire lives. Not one student became trans because of something they learned at school. No one became gay because they saw someone kiss on tv or had two gay parents.

The DSM most definitely did classify it as a disorder until just a couple years ago.

Gender dysphoria is much more comparable to other self-image issues like anorexia.  I'm pretty sure ptown wouldn't say people with anorexia don't need counseling, even though it's a similar issue of struggling with body image.

Some probably don't need counseling, and if simple acceptance works that is always better than drugs.  But I suspect that is not the case with most.  Looking in the mirror and becoming seriously depressed because you feel like a women but see a man is a mental disorder, just like any other body image issue.  Very different issue from sexuality.  Sad that the psychiatric association caved to the woke crowd. 

Never in my entire life have I ever felt like anything other than an individual.  20-some years ago that was the message from the Left - celebrate the individual and ignore society "defined" genders.  I'm not sure what changed, other than that wasn't nearly divisive enough to carve the electorate into single-issue voters.

I've spent months of my life in Germany.  I have found the people there to be the same as those here - wonderful people and jackasses.  I would hardly take the measure of the place from a customs officer - a profession that doesn't always attract the "best of the best".  But if she's willing to play that card because some idiot was "giving her some shit", my guess is she finds drama and outrage everywhere she goes.
