I hope that moving forward MLB puts more of an emphasis on regional games like they were forced to do this year. For one, I just find it more interesting to play teams that I know fans of, and secondly I am more likely to take a summer road trip to one of those cities when life is back to normal.

I hope they keep the DH universal, add two teams, go to four regional divisions of eight teams each.

Cleveland should be in a division with:

Pittsburgh, Detroit, Cincinnati, CWS, Cubs, Milwaukee, Minneapolis

I think it would actually help the west coast the most:

Seattle, SF, A's (whether that be in Oakland, Portland, Vancouver?), LAD, LAAA, SD, Phoenix, Denver.

Miami, TB, Dallas, Houston, StL, KC, Atl, Charlotte/Nashville/Memphis?.

Toronto, Montreal, Bos, Philly, NYY, NYM, DC, Baltimore

I like that. Play everyone in your division 16x. Shorten season to 160. That leaves 48 games for outside division...or, a 3 game series with the remaining 16 teams. Alternate home and away each year with them, the way football does.

You could even shorten to 139 (I think my math is right) and play 13x in division, and 3x out of division. Mostly because I’m a proponent of this shortened season. Obviously this year was way to short, but somewhere between 130-145 is a good compromise imo.

Cubs got bounced in two straight. Man, you really hate to see that. Really.

Also, why in the hell did that series get a day off? Was there a postponement?

Yesterday's game was rained out.

Got it. Somehow I missed that and was super confused why they were even playing today.

Just read that MLB GREAT Bob Gibson has died.

One of baseball's best!

Replace "Cubs" with "Cards" and "two straight" with "two straight after taking a 1-0 lead" and this post can be recycled. Fuck 'em both!

Bellinger robbing Tatis of that HR might be the difference in the series. Damn that was a colossal swing of things.

Chapman is such an overrated choke artist.  If the Indians had one extra guy on base in 2016, this would have been Chapman’s third series winning bomb he has given up in his career.

The White Sox hire 76 year old Tony LaRussa, who hasn’t managed since 2011. Seems like an odd choice.

If there is anyone you want managing an up and coming, super talented, but super young and inexperienced team it’s Tony. If this works out, it will be because of sheer talent in Chicago.
