Yeah, I smoked it. I usually hit it about 230 yards.

I’m not the longest hitter, especially considering I’m 6’1, because I have a slightly shortened backswing due to slicing everything in my teen years. Never adjusted to a full backswing once I started hitting it straight(er). But I only drive it about 270.

I hit my irons farther than most of the people I play with by 1-2 clubs but they almost all out drive me every hole unless I get ahold of one

Yeah, I've missed a ton of birdie putts and it's been killing me.

The hole was 296ish from the member tees.

Cool....the course i grew up on has a 278 Par 4...Tee on top of a hill, huge drop in elevation and then last 120 yards elevation back to same as tee box height Big bunker just in front of green and another one right in the way for those not going for it. Had OB left, severe trouble right and a pond in sight for a bad shot. I’ve eagled that hole 7 or 8 times and hit the flagstick on a two hop once

I should hit it a lot farther, but I still haven't built a repeatable swing that I'm comfortable with. I'm hoping as my swing develops I'll continue to add yardage.

Anything under 90 is always good. Heatherdowns is a fun course. That’s the one right across from South Toledo (not quite as fun of a course lol) right?

that is correct, and thank you...fwiw, speaking of South Toledo, you wouldn't recognize it in it's present state--it's an absolute ****hole. I used to play in a league there about 10 years ago, and Greg Fish had it looking good--now it appears he just doesn't care about it anymore--it's crap.

I played in an outing a couple years ago at Heatherdowns. It was a nice track. Short, old style. Was a good time.

Also played South Toledo about 9 or 10 years ago, it wasn’t good.

Shot another +8 (44) tonight at league (different course). Birdied the 9th tonight, as well.

Threw up an 86 (41-45) at my home course today. Best score here before that was a 93. And my short game kinda sucked. Only 3 double bogeys and no triples. Six pars and a lot of bogeys. My irons are on point. I think I only missed the green on a handful of shots when I was actually aiming for it.

Beat your best score by 7? That’s crazy man. Damage control improving

I've put in a few good 9 holes, but never held it together for a full round.

Father in law just called. Wants to get together and play Medinah Course 3 after the BMW this weekend. Hopefully we can get out within a week or 2 before the rough is back to “member level”. Always fun to play courses near championship level (obviously not from their tees though lol).

Thinking about joining a club near us. It’s not as nice as most ones around here, but it’s good enough for me and it has a nice pool that my wife wants for the kids. The price is right too.  Every time I’m by there the place looks empty so it’d be nice to play where it’s not crowded.

If it entertains the wife and kids, any price is right!

Played Cog Hill #4 two weeks ago. Started Par, Birdie, Bogey, Par. Then proceeded to shoot 96 lol. What a fucking beast. Walking without a carry-bag didn't help matters. My legs were shot by hole 14.

Dubsdread. Great course. That’d be a bitch to walk.

Had a shit-ass round today.

Par-Birdie-Double-Par-Double-Bogey

I was fine at that point. +4 thru 6. A stupid shot and a bad bounce cost me 3 strokes, I could have easily been +1 thru 6.

Triple-Triple

FUCK.

Bogey.

+11. I hate golf. I love golf.

We decided to brave it because the rates were so low, compared to normal. But yeah, I do not recommend walking. Every tee box and every green elevated. At least 30 feet. Would've been much better, but my bag isn't the walking type. I don't have the cross straps.

I’m old enough and did most of my golfing from age 12-25 and it was just the one damn strap. Thank God the cross straps though.
