I would not be interested in running with the bulls.

Figured out an easy fix for the outrageous flights I mentioned for Thanksgiving. I believe we're gonna go the week before or after now. Probably Siesta Key.

Anyone roadtrip out West before? My co-worker just got back from a trip to the Grand Canyon. I think my wife and I are going to drive out next year.

That is damn cool.  Someday I hope to take about a 4 week jaunt out west with something like that behind a decent SUV to get around in.

I was a kid, but we did a 17 day drive from Toledo to San Diego and back. My advice would be to pick a few stops along the way and stay multiple days. It’s a mini vacation, within the vacation. I would DEFINITELY stay in Santa Fe for 2-3 nights. One of the coolest cities I’ve been too.

Just booked a trip to Vegas for next February. Main reason...a Backstreet Boys concert, lol. But we'll be there Thursday through Sunday with plenty of time for other activities. I'm a first timer and am really looking forward to it.

Eat at Uno's Pizzaria in Chicaco on Ohio St. Original deep dish Chicago style pizza. Amazing and worth the time/wait.

I'm trying to arrange a family trip to somewhere warm over Thanksgiving. My dad is incompetent and does not care about getting cheap flights, hell...even reasonable flights. So I've taken on the task of finding a somewhat affordable location regarding flights and Air BnB.

I'm beginning to realize we didn't start this search early enough. First choices are the gulf side of FL, but so far the flights are rather expensive. Checked Destin, Sarasota, and Tampa. I don't mind overpaying, but my sister and brother in law are coming from Denver, so I have to keep them in mind. Ideally I'd leave the country, but at the moment my GF can only travel domestically, so that comes into play. I suggested PR, got shot down. We went 2 years ago, my mom did not enjoy, but I loved it.

Now since we're gonna get fucked with flights anyway, I'm thinking US Virgin islands. They are almost the same cost from NYC to the gulf FL locations.

St. Croix looks nice. Thoughts? I don't know anything about the Virgin Islands.

Going the week after Thanksgiving now. Fuck getting gouged with those holiday prices.

Siesta Key was the front runner, but not so sure now. My friend is telling me about the "Red Tide" they are dealing with. It could be cleared up by late November but who knows.

If not, Clearwater seems ok.

Well, it’s the original deep dish pizza spot...which created deep dish pizza. Not sure if call it a chain, just because they expanded.

Need to get serious about planning my Boundary Waters trip as it's coming up in just over a month and I've done zero planning so far. I usually buy my permit and reserve my canoe in early June but keep putting it off this year.

If my buddy who lives in Chicago will be around that weekend, I'll be spending Friday and Saturday night in Chicago and heading to Ely, MN first thing on Sunday morning. If he won't be around, I'm thinking of driving to Eau Claire, WI on Saturday doing a Sunday morning tee-time before heading to Ely. It's on the way, only about 4 hours away from Ely, and this course looks nice: http://www.wildridgegolf.com/wild-ridge/

I could also drive to Madison on Saturday and do something in the evening, but I probably wouldn't be able to golf on Sunday as I'd be 3 hours farther away from my destination.

According to sports lady one is not allowed to eat at a place like that while in chicago.   Think we are hitting up Carson's again. We went to one in Milwaukee and it was amazing and there is supposed to be one in Chicago.   That would be the only reason I agree to go as I am not a fan of that city at all.

I would consider this a chain:

I prefer Giordanos.  My wife loves Lou Malnatis.  We are both blah on Ginos.
