Never been there.  Anyone have?

What’s the best part of the island to stay?

The whole island is pretty nice. We were just there and stayed in the Palmetto Dunes plantation.  It was a very nice area with nice beaches.  Make arrangements to rent bikes as you can ride them everywhere (bike trails the entirety of the island).

You’ll enjoy it very much. It’s a beautiful place.

It's been forever ago but played golf for 3 days:  Palmetto Dunes, Arthur Hills, and  Harbour Town Golf Links.  Enjoyed it there!

Been there before and going again next month, but have only stayed in complexes near Coligny Plaza. Close to the beach and walkable to restaurants. Sea Pines and Palmetto Dunes are popular too. Have also heard good things about the Disney resort (but $$$).

If you wanna spend a pretty penny, The Montage at Palmetto Bluffs was just fantastic. But more an all inclusive type and for golf not beach.

Here now, staying at the Ocean Club villas, can’t complain. Has a complex pool and a few minute walk to the ocean. Just had a lovely nap after a morning at the beach.
