Saw chatter that July 4th is likely best case scenario for MLB season to start.

Yeah but in 2 or fewer days it’ll be after all-star break or Aug 1.....why can’t anyone fucking wait 10-14 days to reevaluate everything.

That’s my biggest complaint. Although it’s early and who knows what we know right now, the way they talk on TV you’d think were failing. Trump said today don’t be surprised if precautions carry on tIl July or August. People can imagine the worst on their own. Every day they push the dates back more and more.

They want to keep it under control for as long as possible. It’d be really awful if we kept this under control for a month and started opening shit back up and then the virus started spreading. So I can understand that part of it.

A judge is about to rule on the lawsuit to postpone the primaries for Ohio tomorrow. It sounds as if he will rule that voting WILL take place.

A lot of these best case start dates are because these leagues have to figure out an entire new schedule, travel dates, TV contracts, venues (for NBA), etc. They have to get this to the teams so they can start making hotel reservations, plane reservations, etc etc etc. A SHIT ton goes into it from a logistics aspect...my gut is the NBA is keeping teams in the loop and the teams are leaking it. As for MLB...no clue, that was directly from the league lol

And it has been rejected. Voting will take place.

...and for fucks sake, be nice to the workers at retailers, smile and thank them for being there to ring up your needs.

Is this grocery store hysteria going to be a normal thing now?

Here is my today’s grocery shopping experience at Giant Eagle in Brunswick:

Plenty of most items available.
Items sold out: bread, eggs, frozen pizza, ground beef and taco stuff. (did not visit the tp aisle)  There was a limit on many items, one or two of things max.

It was very crowded. People were being polite to each other and the workers, however.

I went today to several stores, in the late afternoon.  I got food, but trying to stock-up on what I normally eat left me with a lot of gaps.  And it was like WTF? everyone is still out of paper towels and toilet paper.

Plenty of food, well maybe not "plenty", but most of what was left that was any decent was of the more perishable variety. I figure they're still making food, but who knows how long people are going to continue to add to their stockpiles.

I did get in-and-out in a reasonable time.  Longer than normal, but only like 10-15 minutes.  Going to have to try to selectively grab stuff every day for a few days.

I'm really glad we got a jump on the grocery stores on Thursday and Friday. We won't need to go back anytime soon, at least a month if necessary.

CNN said it was postponed. Article posted 20 minutes ago.

CNN is wrong. The judge ruled against.

I went to Trader Joe's today. I've just been making smaller trips to stock up.

They were limiting the amount of people in the door to control the crowd, I guess it was absolutely mobbed the past few days. It was a rather pleasant experience, out of a lot, but I got mostly what I went for.

Aside from fresh fruit and veggies and meat, I'm good for at least 3 weeks.
