That's awful.  Jussie should have done time, I think equal to what the perps would have done if that had been a real crime.

Hopefully his career is over, at least.  But in Hollywood probably can't turn its back on a gay black man.

O/U 5 years he is receiving a standing ovation at the Emmys?

If true that's hard to believe the Obama's would be that tone deaf.  He faked a hate crime - why would anyone intervene on his behalf?

Because........OJ

Conspiracy theories already springing up that this is to distract from the Mueller report.  The timing certainly is awfully convenient.

Hard to believe Rahm was unaware charges were being dropped.

Highly plausible; strategic move by the left to get the attention off the 2 ½ year media debacle on the Russia hoax, Trump’s innocence, and the impending investigations of those actually responsible for the coup attempt.  The media is begging to talk about something else other than their own corrupt record.

I don't know, but Trump did a nice job of distracting from Mueller with his healthcare news yesterday. Suddenly, Ds are like sure, ok yes run against the one thing we used to win back the House last year. The Ds are back to saying the Rs want to take away your healthcare. It worked for them a lot in 2018.

For me today, traffic and accidents. Two days in a row my morning commute was derailed by accidents. Yesterday, delayed me by 20 mins and today by 35 mins.

So, Jossie is a friend of the Obama’s. A former Michelle Obama aid intervened in the prosecution right before the charges were dropped. And his aunt is Kamilla Harris.

You can’t make this up. This city is so damn corrupt.

I dont think that kamala harriss is his aunt.

Will never happen......

"Trump allies are now awaiting the results of two long-running internal probes that could expose the backstory behind the Russia probe's beginnings -- and provide more detail on already-documented misconduct among top FBI and DOJ officials.

DOJ Inspector General (IG) Michael Horowitz confirmed at a panel discussion last week that his office is continuing to review potential surveillance abuses by the FBI, a review that began last March and that Fox News is told is nearing completion. Horowitz has previously found that senior FBI officials routinely leaked informationwithout authorization to the media, and also received "improper gifts" from reporters, including meals and sporting event tickets. Most notably, Horowitz found that FBI officials' anti-Trump communications raised doubts as to the integrity of their work.

Republicans, meanwhile, are increasingly looking for answers from U.S. Attorney for Utah John Huber, who was appointed a year ago by former Attorney General Jeff Sessions to review not only surveillance abuses by the FBI and DOJ, but also authorities' handling of the probe into the Clinton Foundation. Huber, Republicans have cautioned, has apparently made little progress, and spoken to few key witnesses and whistleblowers.

But in January, then-Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker reportedly indicated at a private meeting that Huber's work was continuing apace.

Among the primary looming questions that the IG has said he will address, and that Huber is expected to review: Did the FBI follow all applicable "legal requirements" when FBI lawyer Lisa Page and then-Deputy Director Andrew McCabe obtained a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant to surveil Trump aide Carter Page -- weeks before the 2016 presidential election -- by relying heavily on a dossier created by a firm working for the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC)?"

Still need a special prosecutor to put it all together and make the indictments.

So it must be your opinion that the Mueller investigation was a witch-hunt?

I have no idea I haven’t read it. Don’t know much about it. Just pointing out the tons of hearings about Hillary’s emails that wasted tax money that QO was cool with, then the mueller investigation according to him was a waste of time and money, but now he on board with a reverse mueller investigation

He has been calling it a tax payer waste and a witch hunt. My point was if it was a tax waste and a witch hunt then a reverse mueller probe also has to be a tax waste and a witch hunt but he is touting it.

While I agree that it should happen....I have doubts that it will happen.

I'm guessing the IG is going to find there was sufficient probable cause, maybe some overreaches but nothing that will support the appointment of a special prosecutor.

I think Comey did tell Trump he was not a target.  He put himself in the crosshairs of obstruction when he removed Comey.

Otherwise, it was known Russians were interfering in the election.  And someone definitely hacked Hillary's and DNC servers.  Then you Carter Page, Manafort and Gates all connected to the campaign, all had connections to Russia, and all had open or former investigations against them.  Page was on a sort of "watchlist" as being actively recruited by Russia, going back to like 2014.

Then you have Pappadapolous popping off about knowing Russia had the emails, and that kind of ties everything together.  Perhaps all still too circumstantial to investigate the campaign of Presidential candidate - mind you, none of the above investigations were active (I don't think) and none of them had been indicted or questioned.

The Dossier certainly shouldn't take this from insufficient to sufficient, but it does appear it may have.  Note, I read Comey's testimony (or was it Rosenstein?) with respect to the FISA warrant that they didn't need the dossier for the FISA warrant, but would not have pursued one without it.  In other words, in order to attempt to collaborate the dossier, they needed the FISA warrants on these individuals.  Anyway, was an investigation of those 4, and not the Trump campaign, fully justifiable?  Maybe.  Certainly room to conclude that and put this all to rest.

It still seems awfully thin to take opposition research from a former MI6 operative, that relies heavily on Russian agents, along with an Australian diplomat[?]  passing along something someone allegedly told him....to spy on a campaign.  Sure, we rely on foreign intelligence all the time.  But what is presumably mostly foreign sourced intel here, and uncorroborated....should that ever be enough to investigate a political opponent?

Hearings are one thing, a special prosecutor looking into criminality is quite another.  When you potentially have a coup attempt against a duly elected president, after you had the highest levels of the FBI and DoJ spying on American citizens and a presidential campaign team, ostensibly at the behest of the opposition, then by God you damn well better investigate it with a special prosecutor.
