Progressives, part 3...

The 2005 bipartisan commission on elections (Carter-Baker) made clear the areas of major concern and recommended:  voter ID, no mail-in ballots (Except legitimate absentees), and no ballot harvesting, among other good recommendations.

What happened?  Dems/progressives (aka Marxists) have completely ignored this and done the opposite, in order to manufacture votes.

Worse yet, this latest attempt to literally federalize state elections to insure dem cheating also includes provisions for YOU to donate to their campaigns:  for every $1 they raise, YOU get to give them $6.  How special is that.

This attempted legislataion had NOTHING to do with voter rights (which every legal citizen of age already has); it had EVERYTHING to do with making cheating legal, AND padding the coffers of rep's and senators on our dime.

Repulsive in every way.

Thank you for proving the first sentence of my post conclusively true.

If you believe that a federal takeover of state elections is just a nonsense issue, then so be it.  The founders thought otherwise, for good reason.

When both parties get their hands on a nonsense issue, it's amazing the amount of time that can be wasted other than stirring up their party loyalists, which is of course the real goal.

Democrats, with rare exception minorities have ID and those that don't can easily get one. How very white of you to think you need to take care of these poor unfortunates to accomplish something so trivial.

Republicans, there is no real evidence of widespread cheating in our elections no matter which podcast "celebrities" get some crackpot to say there is.

Another example is a recent vote in Mississippi in response to critical race theory.

The likelihood that any politician in that state’s general assembly had ever heard the term critical race theory prior to 2-3 years ago is unlikely.  Nevertheless, a bill was passed banning the teaching of any race as being superior or inferior to others.  When the sponsor was asked if there was any examples of this happening in Mississippi, he admitted that he had not found or heard of any.  But he did say t hat the bill was in response to calls from his constituents very concerned about what is going on with this issue “around the country” based upon what they’ve been seeing on cable news.

So a non-issue is spun into not only an issue, but an urgent and pressing one that has the “future of our state” at stake.

Legislating from cable news.

I was reading that.  W probably gave him all that because he was an outspoken supporter of the invasion of and war with Iraq.  What a great call that was.

Whoopi doesn’t understand Jews are a race. Her show and all left wing news spew misinformation daily. Yet they come at Rogan (who I don’t even listen to). What a shit show.

Man, Colbert has become insufferably unfunny.  He's called plenty of Repubs racist for a lot less, but just sits there while Whoopi says ignorant, bigoted things.

Can't believe her and Joy Behar haven't been fired, much less censored, on The View all these years.  They have all the class and grace of Trump.

This is not surprising.  Hollywood has long portrayed Jews as a religious group and not a race - example is School Ties.  They want it both ways.

Anyone else find it ironic that Whoopi chose a commonly Ashkanazi Jewish surname for her stage name?  Idiot.

I am not one to call for someone to be fired for controversial opinions.

But the only way for Disney to not be a hypocrite, given the others they have fired, Whoopi will have to be let go for this.

I don't think it's just Hollywood. We've all filled out applications and medical forms. I've never seen Jewish on there for race ?

According to many, Jews are not a race.  Many people have been accused of antisemitism for suggesting they are.

You will easily find a lot of materials out there - often from Jewish sources - that say Judaism is not a race.

The problem is that the US isn’t the only country. The whole ME and Northern Africa (like Egypt) are considered Semitic rather than “Asian” or “african”  just because the US doesn’t put that on a form doesn’t mean we are right.

We don’t put Indian (actual India) either but they are quite obviously a different “race” than what we consider “Asian” (Japan, korea, China, Mongolia, etc).

Judaism is a religion, Semitic (race that Jews are) is a race. Hope this helps
