That seems rather odd to me. Words have definitions and meanings that are not fluid/changeable they are concrete stay the same.
If I say "green" and you say "green" the word's meaning doesn't change because our skin color is different. Same with all these derogatory terms. The meaning is the same no matter what the color of the skin of the person saying the word.
A black person saying the Whats up "my ni@@er"? (brother/homie/term of endearment) to another black person absolutely has a different meaning than a white person saying "i hate ni@@ers". I guess u have to have certain experiences to understand possibly. it seems fairly simple to me.
words def have context and different meanings given the situation and person using them. I do know white people from Kansas City and Junction CIty, Kansas that are from the hood who also use the N word profusely to both white and black people. Because of where they are from and the authenticity of their person, it isnt questioned. I am a teacher in the inner city middle school and the Asian kids and Mexican kids also routinely use the word. I have only had 1 white student in the last few years who uses it.
