Should be pretty self explanatory

Can’t believe you can’t see it lol

Imagine that, hypocrite throwing around the “racist!” Card again.

Let me guess, credit scores are racist and this new penalty is just the affirmative action of mortgages and a needed DEI plan for home ownership?

Please tell me you’re dumb enough to think this new mortgage horseshit is a good idea?

LMFAO....had absolutely no idea "muh" could be construed as racist, only to discover that, apparently, the rap community appropriated the word from centuries-old white culture.

And, as we've all been told many many many times, cultural appropriation is bad.  mkay?

This is almost as bad as when they took the word "thug" from us.

geeblock is Exhibit A that a lot of racism is, in fact, imagined.

I hate to write that because of how it gets misconstrued [I'm not dismissing that a lot of real racism is similarly disregarded].  But I was perusing the Snowfall show reddit the other day and couldn't believe how many idiots don't know basic history.  But it's a case study in how, if you present something that people perceive as typically being racist, they accept it unquestionably as racism.

That person's perception becomes everyone's reality. But what about context?!?  "No, I perceived the same thing when something loosely similar happened to me...therefore this is proof".  Wait - whut?!?!?

I know that it's easy to pile on geeblock, because he makes himself so readily available for it to happen. But in a more generous frame of thinking, he's actually doing a small service on this little forum. We could not ask for a better representation on all the inherent flaws of critical theory, or in this particular circumstance, critical race theory. If anybody likes to read as I do, I highly recommend getting Cynical Theories by Helen Pluckrose and James Lindsay. It covers all of the theories that millennials have picked up, absorbed and have applied to their common thinking and belief systems, to the point where it has become a social contagion. It really is a good read!

In other news, it appears that Bud Light's VP of marketing has taken a leave and been replaced. The people have spoken haha!

Are you actually stupid or do you just pretend to be? You’ve added zero facts (or even opinions) to any discussion, you are literally just a Twitter reply guy about various liberal clown show arguments.

I can see that you're just dying to throw the racist word at me. I don't give a shit lol!

But just for shits and giggles, let me throw some education your way.

The "muh" was an *English* slang term used by (omg white) people clear back in the 1700's, which is as far back as historians have traced it in writing, but most certainly used in common language before then.

Hopefully, in the future, you will at least make some sort of attempt at making sure you're correct before you casually try to throw the term racist around. You rely on that too much. And because you rely on that too much, you show yourself to be truly ignorant of a lot of things.

***** DO BETTER *****

Why would you quote a white Person asking for equity? That makes zero sense. You were imitating an uneducated person of color asking for equity. Using a word from 1700’s in 2023 and putting it in quotes when quoting blacks people is basically mimicking slave language. Much like the racist people who make the “when we wUz kings” quotes. If you don’t want to be labeled racist don’t do things that racist people do.

I thought surely the mortgage thing was fake when I googled it. Yes that was dumb.

This is so typical of big corporations - let the fall guy (or gal in this case) take the heat.  If this woman were given the latitude to make a decision like this, and it was likely known that she intended to bring a woke “sensibility” to a stale brand that had gotten too “fratty”, then this marketing move should have been expected.  Thus again it is some stupid fucker in the c-suite who once again refuses to take ownership of executive decisions.

For those who’ve never been inside, this type of blaming subordinate leadership is so typical in large, publicly traded companies.

Had an officer or CEO come out to say this trans thing was a mistake, but that’s on us, I’d give them that at least.

Corporations are not generally in it to benefit anyone except officers and directors.  Never forget that.

People have been saying “muh roads” for many years when speaking about the extreme libertarian hatred towards asphalt with white and yellow stripes on it.

But now it’s racist to say “muh” because literally everything is racist. The future of open dialog and free speech is looking rather bleak.

James Lindsay is an interesting follow on twitter. He’s been calling out the school choice movement lately and I gotta say he’s making good points. It definitely has me reevaluating my stance on what seemed like a great idea. I also like that he’s going all in on the “anti-Communist” label. Same with Jesse Kelly.

I will be diving into the history of Mao’s Cultural Revolution soon.

Both good follows. Jesse Kelly cracks me up. And the school choice thing not actually being good is an interesting discussion.

I don’t think everything is racist and I’ve never called anyone he racist in all the years we been chatting. But if yo didn’t know, all over the place racists on Twitter, Reddit. Yahoo all the time make comments imitating black people with slave language and it’s definitely racist. But we can drop it.

Examples include

“We didn’t do nuffin “

“When we wUz kings”

“BUt hE wUz a gOod bOy”

It's not racist because you think it is. Everybody on this site is racist according to you. Don't you ever, ever, get sick of that?

Justin needs to make a "Perpetual Racism, It's Everywhere" thread here, so that geeblock can fulfill all of his needs there.

The book gets into the practice of trying to force everybody to speak accepted language (what the group wants you to say and not to say), where it originated from, how it caught on and how it is currently carried out.

It's why I will say whatever I want to say here and geeblock can call me racists all day every day and still not get the results he so badly wants. We just saw that even after the history of "muh" was explained to him, he's doubling down on it. Because in his mind, there is only one thing that word can mean because that's all he ever knew of it. So to him, that is the truth of the matter. His mind is not free to learning new things. We all have a little bit of that, to be fair.

Example: I have a hard time believing astrophysicists when they claim there is dark matter. They can't see it, measure it, weigh it, it can't be felt, nothing to suggest that it is even possible, but they know it's there.
Geeblock is in the same scenario, only on the other side of the spectrum. He thinks he reads it, sees it, feels it everywhere. He just knows it is there. It's his ideology.

I think school choice is a good thing. "Fund kids instead of systems". Currently, poor families have no choice to send their school to anywhere else other than the district that they live in. They can't afford to move, pay tuition for private schools, can't drive their kids to and from school daily, etc. So they are stuck sending their kids to schools that aren't any good and currently care more about how many boxes of tissues that you kid brings at the beginning of the school year rather than ensuring that kid can read simple sentences.

Unless or until the Department of Education is dissolved, they are stuck. I don't see the recourse that is available to them.

Have you read Lindsay's rebuttal? Everything you say makes sense to me and is why I've always supported school choice.

But this was tried in Sweden (I think) in the 90s and it led to further government involvement in ALL schools, public and private, and eventually homeschooling was banned completely. It's almost certain that the government is going to start putting their hand in all institutions that take tax dollars from students moving to new schools.

Slave language… as if you even know what that means… and then none of your examples used muh, which has been an internet meme for 20 years. You’re losing it bruh.
