The IG said there was no evidence of bias in the investigations.  Which for every network not named Fox makes it all a non-story.

Now, I question the "no evidence" thing.  And not finding any doesn't mean there is none.  But CNN isn't going to unpack that report when the IG concluded no wrongdoing.

I wish I knew if I could trust Gowdy, or if he's just interviewing to replace Sessions as AG.

That's really interesting.  I thought Horowitz said there was an ongoing investigation he couldn't comment on, and an investigation of Strzok could have started months ago, possibly even a year ago when Mueller discovered those texts and booted him.  And since there was an open investigation, and malfeasance related to Strzok might have been excluded from the IG report?

Or it just means he was fired.  And I'd take it as a given he has been, or soon will be, fired.

I assume this will not make the news tonight, since there are some kids crying down at the border.

I knew your politics was a little out-there, but I never realized you were a gigantic piece of shit.

Those seeking asylum can go to a port of entry.  Those knowingly illegally entering the country can and will likely be arrested.  Similarly, if I illegally break into another's home or business, I will be separated from my kids and incarcerated.  These are simple concepts.

A collective's border and a private citizen's property are not equitable.

In the analogy, there is a clear violation of someone's private property: the owner of the private land.

With regard to the border, the "border" is not private property, and thus, nobody's rights have been infringed (and if you try to make a case that "the American people's rights are infringed, you're going to have to accept a view of land ownership that sounds an awful lot like collectivism, which any good little socialist would pat you on the head for doing).

The hypocrisy has reached absurd new heights.  Modern Family co-creator just said he'll be leaving Fox - the network - for daring to own Fox News (which, they won't own after the sale goes thru).

It's not about fake news or facts or tolerance, because they never say a peep about CNN or MSNBC.  Granted, Ingram should be fired already.  But the relentless attack on Fox News are because it's basically the only conservative voice on tv.  Liberals have demonstrated over and over in recent years they have 0 tolerance for differing views, and they don't want to debate you they want to silence you.

Which, coincidentally, cries out for Libertarian representation on tv.  Although I think Fox has a number of contributors who actually identify as Libertarian, and Bill Maher I think used to be a Libertarian before he decided selling out to liberalism was better for his career.  I bet you the Libertarian party could take off if it had a 24-hr news channel.

Dear sweet Judas priest, I would love that.  I'd prefer to stay far away from Maher and most of the talking heads on Fox News who identify as libertarians.  In a fun twist, their "identifying" as libertarians usually parallels with something similar to someone "identifying" as a man without so much as a hint of a peen.

Just a reminder, Democrat leaders don’t actually care about these kids. "Legislation is not the way to go here when it's so easy for the president to sign it." - per Schumer.  As I mentioned earlier in this thread, I have a problem with Presidents having so much power for executive orders and whatever else. Just bc Congress can’t ever write a bill that isn’t full of bullshit isn’t an excuse for them to not try changing this themselves.

Why would he accept the bill?  Generating selective and fake outrage benefits the Dems.  Schumer and Ptown both sharing crocodile tears.

Look who smells blood in the water  ...

On the plus side, it might take some mental gymnastics to vilify him AND Trump now.

I look forward to watching someone try it on this topic, though.

It looks like both sides are crying that legislation is not necessary and Trump can fix it with a pen.  You gotta love our congress (and this goes to both sides).  They cry whenever executive power is  being abused or flexed (this includes when Obama was president),  but in the rare opportunity they have to pass a simple bipartisan bill to fix this issue they are now all crying, because they are being told to have the Government function as it is supposed to.  You can't make this shit up.

Exactly. Shumer - Trump should just get out his pen and change it, Also Shumer - Trump can't undo the DACA executive order. Continuing to give President's all of this power is dumb as shit. Why would you egg on Trump to do more actions on his own?

Well, in his defense this shit wasn't reported in 2014, so how would he know?  I think S&L wouldn't have been a fan of separation then either.  I think the majority of us can agree that it is not good policy to separate children, especially when federal regulation prevents border patrol from helping these kids (they don't want a lawsuit).  It's in very poor taste to mock these children, regardless if you think the parents are irresponsible or not.

I just wish everyone would call it down the line as they see it, instead of being outraged depending on what side of the political spectrum you sit on.

These situations are bad of who's in charge in Washington.  It's a question of human decency.  As a society, we are better than this.  While there are not doubt some "bad hombres" that show up at the border, the majority of people coming are running from conditions that are beyond those any of us will ever have to experience, thank goodness.  To take one's family on the journey required to even get to the boarder requires more courage than many people have.  When you are that desperate, doing it "legally" or "illegally" isn't relevant, assuming you are even familiar with immigration law in another country in the first place.

I don't think it is wrong to temporarily separate the people in order to find out whether the people are truly a family unit, and not smugglers, traffickers, terrorists etc..etc...  And while temporarily 'separated' the children are being properly cared for, at a large cost to US taxpayers, which is the right thing to do.

For 3 decades now, politicians have kicked the can down the road.  We have a major problem, most everyone is spineless to fix it properly.  Trump wants to fix it, the liberal media and liberal democrats don't want to.

Trump could take an AK-47 to Pennsylvania Avenue in broad daylight and murder 90 children and QO would find a way to make it into the Democrats fault. You’ve got a serious problem dude. At least you and stormy daniels’ vagina have one thing in common.

Why do you make such blatantly inaccurate statements?  The country has a major problem; it needs to be properly solved.

Or do you prefer kicking the can some more, and playing on emotion?

Not "kicking the can" doesn't not need to include separating kids from families.  There is not way to justify this based upon a law.

Although Rush Limbaugh assures us this is a man made crisis, so there's that.

The republicans and democrats are going to have to get together and work on this as a team. They will have to work together with brutal logic in mind. When a logical approach is found THEN you tweak the answer with morality and compassion. This is the only "good" way that we're going to do this right.

But as of right now - with media it's all emotion and no logic. With politicians it's all grandstanding virtue. With Trump... well, I don't want him saying "I've got a phone and I've got a pen".
