So after the whole #MeToo movement, Netflix has been sending their employees to training in regards to how to act. They are no longer allowed to flirt, ask for phone numbers unless given permission and not allowed to look at another person for more than five seconds.
Netflix has not denied this, only saying "We’re proud of the anti-harassment training we offer to our productions. We want every Netflix production to be a safe and respectful working environment. We believe the resources we offer empower people on our sets to speak up, and shouldn’t be trivialised."
I am seriously trying to figure out the logistics of having to ask for permission in order to ask someone for their phone number. Isn't asking for the number itself part of the getting permission process?
Now do you have to start with..
Him "Hey, am I allowed to ask you for your phone number?"
Her "Sure"
Him "Can I get your number?"
Her "no"
