The slopestyle course is badass. Looking forward to the ski and snowboard events for that.

Also, why has the IOC been overcompensating to Asian countries lately?  2008 Beijing, 2018 Pyeongchang, 2020 Tokyo, 2022 Beijing.

MONEY!!!!  Asian people buy tickets.

I like the summer olympics.  Other than hockey I have a hard time getting into the winter olympics.  Mostly every sport is either a time trial or arbitrarily/subjectively judged.  They also seem to just invent sports to make it a bigger event.  I.e. cross country skiing with rifles.  WTF lol?

I love the pursuit biathlon.  Second favorite winter sport to short track.

The best the US has ever done in men’s luge is 4th. Currently we have a guy who is in 4th and only .001 out of 3rd after 2 of 4 runs.

That Luge track looks very difficult and very fast. I always enjoy watching Luge and Bobsled.

Old school military event.  The biathlon belongs in the Olympics a hell of a lot more than any of the synchronized (gymnastic and swimming) events.

Agreed (although not sure early 60's really qualifies as "old school military event").  It's actually really impressive to have that kind of physical exertion and then be able to compose yourself to shoot accurately.

Not sure curling really belongs, either - summer Olympics don't have bowling, billiards or shuffleboard.

"Prior to the biathlon debut at the 1960 Winter Olympics, there was a military patrol event that was held at four Winter Olympic Games192419281936, and 1948. Medals were awarded for military patrol in 1924, but it was a demonstration event for the other three Games."

Should the Olympics have golf?  If so, than curling belongs.

Mazdzer wins silver!! And set a course record in his 3rd run. He finished .026 sec behind the gold medal.

The moustached guy on the curling team seemed like a fun competitor. I had that on in the background for a couple of hours last night.
