Portable recorder.  Way overdue, I've been wanting one for years

Nice!  I use the Zoom H6 for podcast and location recording.

Listerine bottles?

Lol no. We take our liquor on in wine bottles. One per person, and it's always been enough to last the whole week.

It was between this and the Zoom H4N, but went with this because the Zoom requires attenuaters for recording out of certain mixers (DJ recording). The Tascam is awesome, so easy to use.

Just bought an insulated tube for my Camelbak for snowboarding. It froze immediately that last 5 times or so I've used it. I was about to bail on and using a pack completely until I discovered insulated ones were available.

Nosler M48

Getting a muzzle break on it for sure, looking at swapping the trigger but will wait until i shoot a few times. Next immediate step is to install the purchase that preceeded this most recent one:

Vortex Viper PST Gen 2

The Elk Hunt is coming together nicely.

Nice. I haven't been hunting since I was a teenager, but I've had the itch the last several years. I think I'd like to get a decent bow, I was a great shot in high school at the archery range at FFA camp, and try my hand at bagging a deer that way.

I've never had the need to modernize my bow (even though they dramatically improve almost every aspect of a compound bow about every 4 years) but if/when that day comes the only brand you should shoot is Mathews. The Halon is their best hunting bow.

This is the quad split. Have a digital tuner on the way to get OTA signal from analog into digital, so I can have that as the 4th input. Probably get a Roku stick instead of the PS3 as well, since no sports apps are available on PS3, other than the sports packages.

I'll keep this in mind if I ever do decide to buy one. I'd likely get one from the previous season, or buy used, as I definitely don't need the best tech available.

the savings is minimal, the difference in tech from year to year is not however. whatever you do, talk with someone who bowhunts before you buy. ideally talk to several becasue they'll all try to sell you whatever they use. i would say listen to all their thoughts and go with the one that solves whatever of those are the most important to you.

This thread reminds me that I haven't really purchased anything fun in a while.

Tell me more. I quick a quick Google...is the Quad split really $600 or am I looking at the wrong verision. I am intrigued by this. I'm trying to figure out my new basement setup and I'm not sure if I want to mount 3 TVs across the wall and then have to run cable to all of them. However, with this...I could do a large projector. 2 cable boxes, an over the air antenna and a fire stick and have 4 screens going quite easily. Are the dimensions customizable or are you stuck with 4 equal screens whether you have 4 things going or not?

I haven't bought anything fun recently. I'm ripping out my deck and having a patio poured in the spring, golfing 6 days in Myrtle Beach over 4th of July and just booked all-inclusive in Riveria Maya in November so if that counts...that's what I've bought.
