Had a sip of coffee because I figured I'd try it in Italy. It's the only sip I've ever had.

Love coffee. I am a total coffee snob. We live near a World Market and I buy their whole bean 1 pound bags, usually a dark roast like French or Sumantra. I have a Cuisinart that grinds the beans for brew. I love it and that's how I drink my coffee on the weekdays.

For the weekends, I either do an aeropress or French Press depending on how tired I am.

I drink one cup in the morning.  Then I take a huge dump.

Like just about everything in food/drink, you have to build up your taste tolerance.  When I first started drinking booze, I hated beer... but got used to it.  I would get nauseous at shots of whiskey... but then I learned to drink it neat.  Black coffee is no different.  For those who don't like it, I say go for it!

Or, some people just don't like it

I've toyed with getting my own grinder, but good ones are ridicuosoly expensive.

French Press seems to be the best option.  Haven't gone there, either....seems like too much work.

I will buy a large Dunkin iced coffee and then save the plastic container/straw to make iced coffee from my Keurig for the daily commute. Black with Splenda or Stevia. Rarely do cream. Will refill that cup 2-3x's at work. We have one of those commercial-type machines, with the grinder, at my office. I drink a lot of coffee but taper off to water by about 11am.

For those thinking of trying black coffee, I recommend adding just a pinch of salt to your cup.  Not enough to taste, just enough to counter the acid bitterness and let the coffee flavor come through.   I prefer making mine mocha with a little bit of chocolate.

I love my Keurig, have two cups every morning.  I like the Italian Roast, "donut shop", Guatemalan, Ethiopian and similar flavors, but I only buy when on sale or in bulk - never pay more than 50 cents per serving.

I had a French press coffee recently at the Copious Notes nightclub in Columbus - that was a great cup of coffee.  I wouldn't mind buying an Aeropress to try it out, but I have a true espresso machine I'm trying to get the nerve to set up and figure out how to run it.  If it works out, I'll go with that.

French press is very simple, and you can get a decent burr grinder for cheap. Bodum brand is good for French Press and when on sale are cheap. Grinders are a little harder to find for a good price. You can get a crappy 2 blade grinder for cheap tho, better than nothing

I'm not very motivated to try and like it. One less thing to waste money/calories on at least.

When I'm not traveling, I go thru a pound [bag] of coffee in about 2 weeks.  I just grind it at the grocer.  Don't notice much of a difference between Day 1 and Day 14 for the coffee.

I hate coffee. I love tea.  I hope that helps.

No coffee for me either. Can't stand the flavor (had a sip here or there). Don't do hot drinks, except for cider.

Been caffeine-free since August. Enjoy not having any, outside of some chocolate here or there.

What is your daily coffee routine?

I make one, sometimes two, cups with my Aeropress in the morning. I use Private Selection beans from Kroger, and I grind them immediately before brewing. Most days I'll run out and get a cup of coffee in the late morning or early afternoon while I'm at work.

We also have a Nespresso machine. My wife uses it the most, she likes espresso (latte's) but doesn't drink coffee. I'll have one a few times a week.

Two pots a day, which I usually end up pouring a cup or two down the drain.  I'll drink a cup or two before work and then fill up my Eddie Bauer mug to bring to work.  It holds a couple cups.  I'll usually also make a pot of coffee in the afternoon and drink one-three cups.  Brand wise, I only use Peet's or Starbucks.

Yeah, the wife got me a Cuisinart for Christmas a few years ago. It is pricey, but damn well worth it in my book.

A french press isn't pricey either, a simple one from Bodum is like $10-$20 at Target. Gridner wise, I use a two blade black and decker. It is also, less than $20 in most places. I use a french press on the weekends because it takes some time.

Although, if you want to save time, an aeropress is the way to go.

I go to my Keurig as soon as I wake up.  Usually 1-2 cups and the 1-2 more at work.  I love coffee.
